Museale Pendulum clock "Regulateur de parquet" after Jean-Henri Riesener Napoleon III, Paris, circa 1850-1880. A model by Jean-Henri Riesener (Master 1768) featuring extremely finely chiseled, very decorative, fire-gilt bronze fittings. This rare and costly pendulum clock presents an amaranth, bergahorn, ebony and thread inscriptions called "Regulateur de parquet." The back or inside sides of the doors are veneered with king's wood The white enameled dial shows two finely chiseled hands. The hours are in Roman numerals And the minutes in Arabic figures, in a gilded, three-winged, putti playing on clouds with garlands. The pendulum clock is richly decorated with gilded bronze. The dial and each panel is bordered by an elegant frieze of palms and pearls. The upper part of the panel is decorated with foliage, palm trees, garlands and flowers, each corner decorated with flower decoration, the front is adorned with a mask of Apollo (sun symbol), decorated with laurel wreaths. The corners are accentuated by pearls, acanthus leaves, ribbons and rejuvenating foliage, framed by gilded ropes and lions' feet. The feet rest on their own base, decorated with foliage and flower buds.
