We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely, very rare French Louis XVI period trumeau mirror. A romantic oil painting, circa 1760 was placed perfectly on the upper portion of this item, making for a very unique design. In terms of condition, this piece - with a little love and attention - could be magnificent! The oil painting is original and, apart from perhaps wanting a clean (although the experts advise against it), is free from any serious issues what so ever. The frame has been drilled to be attached to a wall and the base, you can see has become a little damp at some point - which has accelerated the flaking of the paint. Year - 1760
